Shawn Murphy is a strategic consultant and mentor to high growth businesses ranging from small enterprises to large corporations. Shawn has advised various commercial and non-profit businesses around the world as they strive to achieve growth, create value, build scale, diversify product/revenue streams, reach profitability and gain competitive advantage while ensuring the mission of the business remains in focus.
Previously as Executive Director with Morgan Stanley, Shawn ran large teams across strategy, sales and business development, products and platforms, risk analysis and talent management.
She has more than 15 years experience in driving operational performance and leading high performing teams as well as having spearheaded several change management initiatives across Europe, Asia and Australia.
As a founding member and leader of the Microfinance Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley, Shawn advised microfinance institutions across multiple continents on how to access capital, capacity building, geographic expansion, changing regulations, mergers, acquisitions, etc.
Shawn greatly enjoys finding solutions to unique challenges to enable organizations to reach their short and long-term objectives.
Shawn holds a MBA from London Business School and graduated magna cum laude from Boston College University. She currently lives in San Francisco.
